The ABCs of E&O: Technology and Current Trends
E & O attorneys Jim Keidel and Chris Weldon will walk through the alphabet of E & O loss control with a focus on technology and current trends affecting New York insurance agents and brokers. The discussion will work its way through the entire alphabet from A to Z and cover such topics as “A” for apps and electronic applications, “C” for cyber liability and certificates of insurance, “E” for email and electronic delivery of insurance policies, “I” for IPad and imaging of documents, “N” for New York insurance laws and regulations, “P” for privacy issues, “S” for social media and scanning, and “V” for voice mail. Jim and Chris will draw on their vast database of experience from handling thousands of E & O claims and lawsuits in order to provide seminar attendees with examples of actual E & O claims to help illustrate the points being discussed. In addition, they will also provide examples of various E & O loss control practices and procedures that every insurance agency and brokerage should consider using in their daily business in order to help protect against potential E & O claims and lawsuits.
